Astral Networking Solutions installs networks, WiFi, CCTV and access control across Yorkshire. This page explains what we do with your information. We keep it short on purpose.
What we collect
- When you contact us. Your name, email, phone number and whatever you tell us about the job, via our booking page or contact form.
- When you browse. Your IP address and standard server logs, plus anonymised data about how pages are used: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, recorded by Microsoft Clarity on every page. If you accept optional cookies, also which adverts led you here.
We do not collect anything else, and we never sell your data.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and quote for work. Our legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us.
- To carry out work you have asked for and keep records of it. Performance of a contract.
- To keep financial records. A legal obligation under tax law.
- To measure advertising. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
Essential cookies and local storage make the site work and remember your cookie choice. These do not require consent.
Optional advertising cookies measure which adverts lead to enquiries. We do not set them unless you accept. Until then, Google's advertising tag runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will return.
Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used, runs on every page whether or not you accept. You can stop it by blocking clarity.ms in your browser or an ad blocker, and you can ask us to delete your recorded sessions using the contact details below.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business:
- Calendly. Books your discovery call. Receives the name, email and phone you enter.
- Formspree. Delivers the contact form to us by email.
- Google. Measures which adverts lead to enquiries. Only if you accept optional cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity. Records how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can improve the site. Runs on every page.
- Vercel. Hosts the website and keeps standard server logs.
- WhatsApp. Only if you choose to message us there.
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are clearly no longer live. Records of completed work, including invoices, are kept for six years because tax law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, or withdraw consent for optional cookies. Email support@astralnetworkingsolutions.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
