Structured Cat6 cabling. The part of the network you only do once.
Data points where you need them, back to a proper patch panel and cabinet, run tidily and tested to every socket. The foundation everything else sits on.
Wireless still runs on wires.
Every reliable network we install sits on cable. Access points, cameras, door controllers and desks all want a wired run back to a switch, because a hardwired link does not fight the walls, share the airtime or drop when the house fills up with devices. Structured cabling is just that done properly: every point run back to one tidy place, labelled, terminated and tested, instead of a tangle of extenders and powerline adapters bodged in over the years.
A proper job means Cat6 from each point back to a patch panel in a small cabinet, the panel into a managed switch, and the switch into your router. That is what lets us put hardwired access points exactly where coverage needs to start, feed PoE cameras and door entry without a plug near each one, and add the next device later with a patch lead rather than a rethink. If you want the numbers behind it, our guide to wiring a house for Ethernet breaks down points, patch panels and what it costs.
Finished house or first fix
The cheapest time to cable is during building work, before the walls go back on, and if you are mid-project we will come in at first fix and run everything while it is easy. Most of our work, though, is finished homes: stone terraces with thick internal walls, and larger houses with lofts and floor voids we can route through. We get cable where it needs to go with minimal mess, and keep any run that has to show discreet rather than clipped across the plaster.
Homes and businesses, same standard
At home that is often points to the office, the TV wall, the kids' rooms and the access point positions, all back to a cabinet in a cupboard or the loft. For businesses it is desk drops and AP runs back to a comms cabinet sized with room to grow. Either way it is terminated properly, tested to each socket and handed over labelled, and it pairs naturally with the business networks and CCTV we fit. We cover Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.

What our customers say.
No more arguing about the WiFi upstairs. No more wondering whether the back gate is covered. That is what people actually book us for.
"Getting 58Mb in the kitchen on a 900Mb line. They found the router was in the wrong spot, fitted a proper wireless access point in the hallway and now I get full speed in every room."
"Wanted proper security after the neighbour got broken into. They walked the property, sorted 4 cameras, door sensors, motion sensors and the doorbell, all on one app. Cancelled my old alarm contract, saving a fortune over the years."
"Four staff constantly cutting out on calls. They replaced our old home router with a dream machine pro and added ceiling access points for the whole floor. Not had a problem since. The £75 came straight off the invoice."
Common questions,
answered plainly.
What does Cat6 cabling cost per point?
It depends far more on the property than the cable: how far the runs are, whether there is a floor void or loft to work in, and how many points go in at once. We price the whole job as one fixed figure after a free survey rather than quote a per-point rate that never survives contact with a real house.
Can you cable a house that is already finished?
Usually, yes, and most of our cabling is exactly that. We route through lofts, floor voids and existing service runs, and where a cable has to show we keep it discreet along skirting or in trunking rather than clipped across a wall. In a period or stone property we plan the routes with some care before anything is drilled.
Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a?
For almost every home and office, Cat6 is the right answer: it carries gigabit comfortably and handles the PoE that access points, cameras and door controllers need. Cat6a is worth it for specific long or high-bandwidth runs, which we will flag at survey rather than charge for across the board.
Do you install the network too, or just the cabling?
Both, and that is the point. The cabling is the foundation for the patch panel, switch and access points, and we fit the lot as one system so there is no gap between the firm that ran the cable and the firm that lit it up. We can also cable to a plan and leave the network to you if you prefer.
