What does a Starlink installation include?
We survey the property for a clear view of the sky, mount and align the dish, run and seal the cable into the building, and connect Starlink to a network that covers the whole property. Everything is tested before we leave.
Is Starlink better than my current broadband?
It depends where you are. If you already have reliable fibre, that is usually the better line. Starlink is for properties where fixed-line broadband is slow, unreliable or simply unavailable, which is common on the rural edges of Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.
Do I still need a proper network with Starlink?
Yes. Starlink brings the connection to one point in the building. Getting it reliably to every room, camera and device is a network job, which is why we build a Unifi network behind the dish rather than leaving you on the supplied router alone.
Are there monthly fees?
The only subscription is Starlink’s own service plan, which you pay to SpaceX, not to us. The Unifi hardware we install is a one-time purchase you own outright, with no charges to us and nothing paywalled.
